Because I can no longer maintain such a club with the other responsibilities I have, I am giving this club up for adoption. If you are interesting in taking over this club, please send a note to =
neekko. You must meet the following requirements:
1. Be knowledgeable in
both the book (yes, there's a book) and the movie (the book came first and I can't have anyone ignorant of the original story running a club like this).
2. Be able hold the responsibility of maintaining a large club (you can recruit staff members later) and not let it go to waste (as I have).
3. Keep the club active and not just some place holder for usernames and art. This means keep up with gallery submissions, hold contests, etc.
4. Send =
neekko a note entitled "HMCC Adoption" with your username, your current daily schedule (you don't have to be specific, just give me an idea of how busy you are each day), and any club experience you have. Be prepared to answer any questions about the book. I am very keen on finding someone who's read the book to run the club.
5. Any comments or notes left on this account regarding adoption will be ignored. All adoption applications must go to =
neekko as
notes.
6. If you have any questions, please note =
neekko, as I will not be checking back on this account too often anymore.
If I do not find a suitable successor within the course of three weeks, I will just self-ban this club. That is all.

I have found the responsibility of running a club here on DA, especially one that covers an insanely large fandom, is quite tedious, so I am resigning from the position as club leader. I am putting this club up for adoption, but only after I sort through the 167+ notes I have here, because I don't want the new owners to deal with so many join requests (aren't I nice?). This club will be going up in one of those club adoption directories (I don't remember what they're called, but if anyone knows, please note it to me). Please do not note me with requests to take this club off my hands just yet. Wait until I give the OK to do so. Meanwhile, sit tight as I do final updates to this club before I leave.
